Cookie Policy
Cookie Policy Effective Date: 01/08/2023
Last Updated: 02/11/2026
About this policy
This Cookie Policy applies only to the TrustVault website at www.trustvault.uk (the "Website"). It does not apply to the TrustVault app (the "App"), which is separate from the Website and works independently of it.
The App is not covered here. How the App collects and uses personal data is explained in our https://www.trustvault.uk/s/privacy-notice.pdf and in the https://www.trustvault.uk/victim-survivor-terms-and-conditions.
Website and App are kept apart. Information collected through cookies on the Website is not collected on the App. We do not link your visit to the Website to any App account.
Using the App does not involve the Website's cookies. Nothing in this policy changes how the App works.
If you are not sure whether something you are using is the Website or the App: the Website is what you see in a web browser at www.trustvault.uk; the App is what you download from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Who we are
Tanzco Limited is responsible for the cookies on the Website and is the "controller" of any personal data they collect.
Company: Tanzco Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 14952228
Registered office: The Coach House, Greys Green Business Centre, Henley-On-Thames, Oxfordshire, England, RG9 4QG

Please read this policy together with our Privacy Notice - https://www.trustvault.uk/s/privacy-notice.pdf, which explains your rights and how we protect personal data.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device when you visit it. They help the site work, remember your choices and, if you agree, measure how it is used. We use the word "cookies" in this policy to include similar technologies, such as pixels and local storage.
Cookies can be:
Session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which stay until they expire or you delete them.
First-party cookies, set by us, or third-party cookies, set by another organisation whose service we use.
Under UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and the UK GDPR), we need your consent before setting any cookie that is not strictly necessary to provide the Website. Strictly necessary cookies do not need consent.
Cookies we use on the Website
We use a small number of cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are always on. Analytics cookies are only set if you choose to allow them.

How we use analytics information. Analytics cookies tell us things like how many people visit and which pages are most read. We use this to improve the Website. We do not use it to identify you, to build a profile of you, or for advertising.
Where data goes. Google may process analytics information outside the UK. Where it does, we rely on the safeguards described in our Privacy Notice – https://www.trustvault.uk/s/privacy-notice.pdf.
What we do not use
We do not use any of the following on the Website, because your safety matters more than our statistics:
advertising or marketing cookies, or advertising networks
social media cookies or pixels (such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X or LinkedIn)
session recording, heat-map or keystroke-capture tools
tracking that follows you from other websites, or that builds a profile about you
We do not share information from Website cookies with anyone for their own marketing. This matches our Privacy Notice – https://www.trustvault.uk/s/privacy-notice.pdf, which says we do not use direct marketing in connection with the App or the Website.
Your choices
You decide which optional cookies we use, and you can change your mind at any time.
When you first visit, a banner lets you accept all, reject all, or choose by category. We do not set analytics cookies until you agree. Rejecting is as easy as accepting.
To change or withdraw your choice, use the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of any page. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
In your browser, you can block or delete cookies in your settings. The help section of your browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox and others) explains how. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Website working.
Google Analytics opt-out Google offers a browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Your choices on the Website do not affect the App, and your App settings do not affect the Website.
Staying safe online
If someone else could see your device or accounts, these steps reduce what they can find out about your visit to the Website.
Use a private (incognito) window. It stops your browser saving history and cookies on the device. It does not hide your visit from the network owner, or from spyware on the device.
Clear your history and cookies after you visit, if you do not use a private window.
Use a device or network the other person cannot access, such as a trusted friend's phone or a library computer, if you can.
Quick exit. This is the button floating on the right side of the webpage.
More advice: Women's Aid has guidance on covering your tracks online https://womensaid.org.uk/.
The App has its own safety features, which are explained in the App and in our Privacy Notice – https://www.trustvault.uk/s/privacy-notice.pdf. They do not apply to the Website.
If you are in danger, call 999. For confidential support, the National Domestic Abuse Helpline is free on 0808 2000 247, 24 hours a day.
Links to other sites and changes to this policy
The Website may link to other organisations, such as support services. We do not control their cookies, so please check their own policies.
If we change the cookies we use, we will update this policy and its "last updated" date. If a change affects the optional cookies you agreed to, we will ask for your choice again.
